Minert &
Associates, Inc. was established in 1990 by the president and
owner of the company, David R. Minert. Prior to establishing the
company, Mr. Minert had extensive experience in drug and alcohol
testing issues.
Mr. Minert did undergraduate work at
BYU, after which he attended and graduated from Gonzaga Law
School in 1981. (He is currently an associate member of the Idaho
State Bar). Thereafter, he served as JAG attorney in the Air
Force for seven years. During that time, Mr. Minert assisted in
setting up and coordinating drug-testing programs for active duty
service members.
After serving in the Air Force, Mr. Minert spent two years as a
Deputy Attorney General for the State of Idaho. While in that
position, he was responsible for prosecuting drunk driving and
illegal drug cases, as well as modernizing the prosecution of DUI
offenders state wide.
